This rare Cox Cocolele is a pre patent model actually hand made by Anthony Cox himself, most cocoleles were manufactured by the Automotive Service Co. Anthony Cox was Maui born entrepreneur that is best known for being the first on to connect two coconuts together which gave the instrument greater volume and deeper tone, he also attached a Koa top giving it a figure 8 shape.
