This plate was part of the sea foam green Iolani Palace dinner service, one set was sea foam green such as this plate and one set was blue. After the overthrow of the Hawaiian government in 1896 Iolani palace became a government building and everything was auctioned off  that was in the palace including plates such as this most have been donated back to Iolani palace with only a hand full of pieces still in private collections.
