This amazingly rare and beautiful Kamaka special concert size pineapple ukulele is the holly grail of all Kamaka ukuleles, this special concert size pineapple measures 3 1/4" thick a full 3/4" thicker than a standard size pineapple which measures only 2 1/2" thick. The front back and sides were hand etched and colored by Richard Lee who was known to engrave ukuleles for tourist at both the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and onboard several Matson cruse ships. The original owner { Dolly Bestman } had it hand engraved with her name and other images that would remind her of her vacation at Waikiki.
