This is a rare early "patent applied for" Koa 17 fret Washburn soprano ukulele with pin bridge was made in the 1920's by Lyon & Healy Chicago U.S.A. the back of the headstock is stamped 12782 above the brass plaque and the inside is stamped 1.5318, this may be a date code. The top and back are made out of beautiful Hawaiian Koa and the sides are curly flamed Mahogany.
Condition Report;In great solid original condition with no cracks or repairs, it does however show its age having numerous nicks, dings and scratches.
