The 1922-23 Sherman Clay & company catalogue calls  this top of the line  banjo ukulele a #32 and it describes it as follows. 7 inch 3 section shell of polished Hawaiian Koa and Maple. Roundded top edge of rim also Koa. Oval tone resonator at back of first figured Koa, handsomely polished. Maple neck with Koa fingerboard and headstock veneer. Heal of neck Koa veneered. Entire front  edge of ukulele bound with handsome corded pattern of colored woods. Double row of  same inlay through center of fingerboard . 8 pearl position dots and champion non-slipping patent pegs, selected calfskin head & silk cord.
